Managing Tasks List

Tasks are project activities without which
projects do not get delivered. Tasks are
assigned to people. The management of
tasks is a critical part of any project.
Milestones are key project dates or
targets which define the overall schedule
for the project. Milestones tend to sit at
the end of a phase, or set of tasks. For
example, all projects will have Start and
End milestones.
A task-pool allows a resource to be
assigned to a project by a percentage of
their time over a defined period, or until
the completion of the project.
Reporting

This report returns data in a set of pre-determined
fields from all projects in i-lign according to the
filter chosen. Select any combination of the filter
categories, and a set of information will display to
match your selection. The Project Status report is
optimised for printing on A3 paper in PDF format.
Project Gantt view
view screenshot
The i-lign Project Gantt view displays a
graphic illustration of scheduled events
in a project and also gives the flexibility
of integrating the project lifecycle and
management events such as deliverables
and issues. The Gantt view enables you
to map out the relationships between
people, tasks, milestones and the
dependencies between the
various elements.
