Questions and AnswersIf you have any other questions about this site that are not answered here, please post them in the General Discussion forum or fill out the Contact Us form. Why would I want to sign up?Once you have registered, you will be able to:
What privacy do I have once I've signed up?As much as you want. The personal details fields on your profile are optional. Your email address is never made public on this website. We won't sell or pass on your account details to third parties. Note: If you contact another site member through the contact tab on their profile page, they will get an email from your address. Also if someone else contacts you through your contact tab, they won't see your email address unless you reply to their message. How do I edit the personal details on my profile? When editing your account settings, these settings are on another tab called 'Personal Details'. Why would I want to enter personal details in my profile anyway? We want to encourage site members to build a strong online community for sharing information about using i-lign and project management in general. Providing details is a useful networking exercise. And if you are a project management contractor or consultant your contributions to the community could provide a useful track record for future clients. But don't forget providing a profile is completely optional if you'd prefer not to. Why are some of the times wrong? This is nearly always a timezone issue. Check that the time zone in your user account settings is correct. Daylight savings changes will usually affect this - currently the site can't automatically adjust for daylight savings changes in each local time zone. We are working on that though. Why can't I edit some of my comments? You can only edit your comments before someone else has replied to them. This is designed to prevent confusing future situations where someone's answer no longer addresses the question. |
